MERGE ON

Just as in my previous blog post about Google Slides, Google has done it again. Docs can now do what Microsoft Word can do. . . . Merge Cell.

Now in Google doc, you can merge table cells allowing your cells to span more than one row and/or column.

To do this . . .

1. Highlight the cells to be merged
2. Select Merge cell from the Table menu - or right click and select Merge cells

That's all there is to it.  You can also Merge table cell in Word documents that you import.
