The new look also features third party apps that you can use. See the image below. The third-party apps are the equivalent of an apps store right in your Google Drive. Once you open these third-party apps, they live right inside your Google Drive CREATE menu.
Google did cut a feature. Before the change, to use a template, you selected it from the CREATE menu. Now you open the appropriate editor (docs, spreadsheets, slide, forms) and click on File>New>From template.
FORMS - You can now collaborate with others in real-time as you design and develop your Google Forms. If you need to work with two colleagues on a survey, all three of you can work on the the same form simultaneously and even have a group chat on the side without ever leaving the form. THAT'S BIG!
Even if you're working solo, some new changes make creating and editing forms easier. All your changes are auto saved and you can quickly undo/redo edits. There is also an improved copy and paste feature that lets you copy a list of bullets from a web or multiple rows of text and then paste right into your form. Each line will appear as an individual answer.
Watch the below video.
PRESENTATIONS- You will also see some nice changes to Google Presentations.
- You can now chat with collaborators directly within a presentation
- Draw organizational charts, flowcharts, design diagrams and more right within Google presentations
- Transition between slides to add more effects to your presentation
- New and improved animations that will make your presentations more dynamic
- Turn your shapes in your presentations to hyperlinks that will link to other slides, presentations or webpages
- Revision history stores edits so you can revert back to previous versions
- New themes make it easy to create show-stopping presentations
DRAG and DROP - You can now drag and drop an image from your computer into a Google drawing. From there, you can add text, shapes, or any other drawings.
