UNREAD GMAIL MESSAGES ICON

Never miss an email when it arrives in Pinned Tab and see how many unread Gmail messages you have by installing a LAB available in your Gmail Settings. When you have the Gmail tab as a pinned page, a small number will appear in the corner of the tab.

  1. Open Gmail
  2. Go to Gear in upper right hand corner
  3. Click Settings
  4. Labs
  5. Locate the "Unread messaging icon" in the list
  6. Check the radio button next to "enable"
  7. Click save changes
